Jay and Kay’s Footprints in Tassie

Hi there! We’re Jay and Kay, the duo behind Footprints in Tassie.

We’re in our early 40s, recently brought together by life’s second chances and a shared passion for adventure. After both coming through divorces, we met just 18 months ago — and quickly discovered that we not only found love in each other, but also in the stunning landscapes and experiences Tasmania has to offer.

From wild coastlines to misty forests, historic towns to hidden waterfalls, Tasmania became the backdrop for our growing relationship and a constant source of inspiration. It didn’t take long before our weekend adventures turned into something more — a desire to share this magical island with others.

Footprints in Tassie is our way of doing just that.

Here, we document our travels and discoveries around the state —
🗺️ Bushwalks, hikes, and natural wonders
🏞️ Local sights, historic places, and quirky attractions
🍷 The best food, wine, coffee, and hidden gems
📷 Photo stories and travel tips to help others explore

We’re not professional travellers — just two everyday people falling in love with Tasmania and each other, one adventure at a time. Whether you’re a fellow local, a curious visitor, or someone dreaming of your next trip, we hope our journey inspires you to leave your own footprints in Tassie too.
